The conquerable Team

The Unconquerable Team

There is a popular saying  "United we stand, divided we fall"  which is often used in mottos and phrases to inspire unity. An unconquerable team is built on practicing the rule of  doing everything in unity.

Ecless 4;9Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Unity in marriage refers to the state of being one, a single unit, where two individuals are deeply connected, goals, values, and lives all aligns . unity in marriage also involves a strong bond of love, respect, and mutual support, where partners prioritize each other's needs and work together to overcome challenges.

God's desire for married couple is to be like the unconquerable team that enemy can never defeat but many couples have ruin the chance of being unconquerable because of
  • Ego- having excessive pride and a need to be right at all times,  this attitude also reflect in  couples refusal to compromise, not unwilling to apologize, and a focus on personal needs over the needs of the marriage.
  • Lack of good communication skills- couples not being patience enough to communicate in love properly  that each other can understand what the issues are. this  lead to unresolved conflicts,
  • Lack of empathy- this is when couple has difficulty in understanding each other, or not being aware or ignoring the emotions of each other.
  • Financial disagreements- when there is no transparency and trust in money spending this often leads to stress, tension, and even resentment. when couple does not care about the need of the home by acting ignorant to need of the home. there is no open conversation about financial goals. this can lead to bitterness in the family.

A marriage that needs to be unconquerable should be willing to submit to God's design of marriage from the beginning in

  •  Gen 2;24- therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh. both couple submitting and practicing the lifelong commitments to each other.
  • Ephesian 5vs 31- For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

  • It is important that both spouses walk in fear, reverence, and honor of the Lord. daily building intimate and personal relationship with God
  • Allowing the Word of God to be the foundation of your home, prayers, your words to one another, your treatment of one another, and your guidance in times of tension and discord
  • Growing to in learn how each other digests conversation, ask each other question for proper understanding, be slow to speak and be an active listener.

Be Engaging and Intentional

As Godly parents, our greatest responsibility is to create homes where learning can take place. Homes that are filled with love and are a safe place for children to make mistakes and be correctly in a Godly manner.
Intentional parenting is an approach to developing safe, stable, and nurturing parent-child relationships. with intentional parenting, parents role grow strong social and emotional skills in their children/teens. As your child grows, different approach, limits, different styles of guidance and discipline are required for parental training . However, regardless of the age of your child or how you have parented  in the past with say your older children,

Being an intentional parent does not mean
  • Starting over your parental style of training or throwing everything out the window and changing parenting styles.
  • It doesn’t mean doing things that feel unnatural to you.
  • And it definitely doesn’t mean adding more to your plate.
what intentional parenting simply means is adding more meaning to the things we’re already doing. In other words, we parent on purpose. Intentional parenting is centered around these behaviors ;
  • Being responsive and involved in the activities of the children
  • Parent demonstrating authority while supporting autonomy, this means that parent are able to create guidelines that will help keep the children  safe from harm.
  • Parent showing consistent and predictable rules- this means that parents should maintain clear and consistent expectations, rules, and routines for their child. the children also should be able to know the consequences  that follows certain behaviors
  • Parents communicating in a way that creates the warmth and safety needed to have tough conversations.
  • Parents not being judgmental in approach- making conscious and deliberate decisions about how you respond to your child's behavior, rather than reacting impulsively.

I pray that the lord will grant us Godly wisdom to train,  care for our children  and also build them for the purpose God has created them in this world filled with so man immoral ways in Jesus name, Amen
