Daniel 1;20 portrays Daniel and his team Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as ten times better and brighter than their colleagues. today, Christian youths have what it takes to replicate the exploits of Daniel and his friends in Babylon.

As a youth, if you make up your mind to abide in the fear of God like Daniel, and you have a goal, a determination to attain that goal, a teachable spirit, diligence and courage then nothing will be able to stand in your way of success. you will emerge ten times better, brighter, higher and wiser than your peers.

Excelling in life demands a transformation of mind, soul and spirit. it begins with connecting yourself to the only one who can empower you for success. God has the power to fully recharge you to get rid of dullness, weakness and stagnancy.

Attributes to learn from Daniel

• Daniel was focused and unshakable- his resilience and determination helped him achieve his goal despite facing pessimists who may want to sabotage your dream, firmness in Christ, courage
• Reading and Studying after formal education- Dan 9;2- In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
• Readiness through supplication with faith - Dan 9;3-And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes
• Repentance while seeking divine favour Dan9;9-To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him;
• Refreshing of skill for further dutifulness- Dan 9;21- Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
• Revelation of Salvation in his fullness- Dan 9;24- Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
• Realization through self-denial and fasting- Dan 10;2-In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. 3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
• Renewal in Steadfastness and Faithfulness- Dan 10;11- And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

No two generations are the same, they differ in reasoning and preferences. but good ideologies and norms can transcend generations, if a bridge is established. today's youth serve as a bridge between older and younger generations. To ensure our godly heritage lives on, we must build a strong connection with the upcoming generation by teaching and guiding them on the right path. by offering good examples and godly legacies, we can successfully transfer these values to them , ensuring the continuity of our heritage.

Today's youths are the link between the upcoming generation and the present generation, they can shape the future by avoiding the mistakes of the older generation, learning from experience and building upon existing success. if our youth are taught with intention to embrace the good institutional memories of the present generation;

• They will help to establish godly relationships
• Sustain cultural values and morals
• Forge strong ties across political, socio-cultural and religion borders
• They'll pass on the worthy legacies to the generation coming after them, 

Raising Future Leader

we are in a time where biblical values, moral ethic and sane institution are speedily going into extinction, A time where evil is being applauded and values are not recognized anymore. As parent / leaders raising future leaders, we have an urgent assignment to raise future leaders by the standard of the bible. The home is the foundation ground for every children mind to be shaped. we cannot afford to take it easy, we need to be sure of the faith we belief in, fast in teaching them the word of God  from tender age because the people of the world are not slow in indoctrinating their children into wrong believe and ideas. As Christian parent and leaders we must embrace our role to safeguard the future of scriptural , societal, and morale values and win a generation for Christ starting from our children. 

• exemplary lifestyle- children tend to mirror whatever they see at  home, as godly parent/ leaders we must truly guide teach them by living our life right
• provide quality education- 
• understanding between parents and children/ good communication- there should be health conversation between children's and parent , this will help in building their interpersonal and  communication skill,
• transfer wisdom, values and statues to the children
• harmonize/or blend values and wisdom of the older generation with those of the new generation
• mutual respect and  learning

The Bridge Builder

An old man going a lone highway,

Came, at the evening cold and gray,

To a chasm vast and deep and wide.

Through which was flowing a sullen tide

The old man crossed in the twilight dim,

The sullen stream had no fear for him;

But he turned when safe on the other side

And built a bridge to span the tide.



“Old man,” said a fellow pilgrim near,

“You are wasting your strength with building here;

Your journey will end with the ending day,

You never again will pass this way;

You’ve crossed the chasm, deep and wide,

Why build this bridge at evening tide?”



The builder lifted his old gray head;

“Good friend, in the path I have come,” he said,

“There followed after me to-day

A youth whose feet must pass this way.

This chasm that has been as naught to me

To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be;

He, too, must cross in the twilight dim;

Good friend, I am building this bridge for him!”


Finally to parent and leaders with youths, being a role model that they can follow is very important, we need to know that it is what you stick to and commit yourself to that  the children will follow. in your own career, strive for  excellency, do a lot of self- commitment for your career. it can be time consuming but a little more effort get you to be extraordinary and eventually get to your destination. when our children/ youth sees these lifestyle, they also mirror the life. 

our youth will face challenges but we must brave up to our duties as parent and leaders to be deliberate about our action toward the children. we must fight  to secure the future of our children by building a safe for path for them to go through.

Faith of our fathers, we will strive

To win all nations unto thee;

And through the truth that comes from God

Mankind shall then indeed be free.

Faith of our fathers! holy faith!

We will be true to thee till death!

Faith of our fathers, we will love

Both friend and foe in all our strife,

And preach thee, too, as love knows how

By kindly words and virtuous life.
