Preparing the Emerging Leaders
Joseph's story is a captivating tale of resilience, unwavering faith and the power of utilizing one's skills for national development. Through his life was filled with twists and turns, it was apparent that God had destined the last to be a preserver of his family, and a blessing to the nation of Egypt. The latter wouldn't have happen if Potiphar didn't recognize the great potential in Joseph. As slave in his master's house, his exceptional skills were evident m everything he did, coupled with diligence and integrity, he earned himself Potiphar's trust and favor ; leading to his appointment as the overseer of his master's entire household.
God has deposited great potentials in the youths and he desires that they become impactful leaders in the near future. as parent and leaders of youth, we need to have a better relationship with our children and youth. we can learn from Pharaoh's relationship with Joseph
Pharaoh didn't consider the fact that
- Past; Pharaoh didn't consider that Joseph has been to the prison, he only saw his potential and how his skills can help the nation. Pharaoh gave Joseph the opportunity and resources available to utilize his skills for the national development. Pharaoh never knock Joseph down because of his past
- As parent and leaders who wants to raise great leaders for the nation, we can learn here that as a parent though our children might have make mistakes in the past , when we see that they are trying to make positive changes, we should not judge them by their past but we should learn to be ready to give our children resources ( education, vocational skills ) to turn their life around to fulfill Gods plan to their life.
- As leaders in church we should not look down or write off the youth who has made mistakes in the past , access their skills and how to develop those skills to fit into the present state of change their are trying to work on. Mentor them to make better choices in life, help them to look forward to making positive changes daily.
