Weapons of our Warfare

we have a short story about a family (Patrick and his wife) who at a point in their life faced some problem.  Husband was wrongly accused and fired at work for something he did not do. while he go home thinking of this problem of his and how will he tell his wife this problem. His wife Gloria walked in happy and ready to share the good news of promotion from her workplace. while trying to get the attention of the husband, he was not responding right to the good news.

 Patrick looked to the wife and was crying while he narrated what has happened at work. the wife comforted him with her new promotion which can sustain them while he gets another job. Life didn't happen as they had planned because the solution they thought will help could not be sustain.  Another problem came up, two months later, Gloria got sick with strange disease, she could not cope with the sickness and job, she was let go from her job couple of months after. 

All this problem going on in the family, they both didn't sit down and cry and complain, they realize that they need to seek the face of God together with fasting.  After their prayers, they begin to see answers to their prayer, Patrick's workplace apologies for the wrong accusation and wanted him back to work. All test result was back to normal; Gloria's health was back to normal.  The doctors were surprised at the change in Gloria's health.

what we can learn from this testimony is that, when we call on the name of Jesus, all sickness, all problem will be gone, prayers get answered and the devil is put to shame. 

The Believer's Warfare

The believer's warfare is not a physical one, it is not a battle against your boss, neighbor, colleagues or spouse. In Ephesian 6;12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The devil does not take the conversion of a soul lightly. The moment you surrender your life to Christ, the devil wages war by attacking with different kinds of weapons, example are physical sickness, financial problem, spiritual problem, social. his purpose is to bring discouragement and later sliding back into sin.

1 peter 5;8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: As believers we need the right weapon to fight the devil and also win 

• Prayer-2 Corinthians 10; 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Prayer gives access to the flow of the power of God in our loves, families, marriages and all the concerns us. As Christian we need to devote our time to praying for one another because the devil fears a praying home, we should not let our prayer altar die, keep the fire burning. As we develop our prayer life, mighty things will definitely happen in our life in Jesus' name. 

• Faith- As believers, we should not be discouraged because, in this world, problems and difficult times will arise, not because we have committed any sin but because we are in this world. all we need do is have faith when we are faced with difficult problem. Mark 11; 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. As believers, we should not be discouraged when we are faced with problem because in this world that we live in, problem will arise not because we committed any sin. John 16; 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. There is a consolation that we are an overcomer with the assurance we have Christ in us. 
• Word of God- Bible is one of the weapons a believer has to fight against the enemy, we should not overlook it. in Heb 4;12 For the word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

As you put on the whole amour of God, and watch against the attacks of the enemy, may you always be victorious in Jesus' name, amen
